Ok so I went bold with the subject header, had to give it a shot. Today’s post is on networking and leadership. You know that all great things were built with PEOPLE not a person. A name might go down in history under one person for something big, but, you know this is obviously false. King Tut built a pyramid. Yes he did along with the help of 1,000 people, maybe more. Alexander the Great conquered most of the world, yes he did along with help of a lot of people. You get what I mean, you don’t need more examples of this. Traffic exchanges and mailers need people to participate and it needs BIG people to organize a movement for it’s growth.
So many people sit on the sidelines, and if were going to make a football analogy here, these people on the benches are hardly ready to play ball. I’ve heard it from Olson, who heads TELive, “Do Something!”. Yes do something if you want to succeed, one of the most obvious concepts ever, but, people don’t address it. While we are at it let’s find some leaders to push and organize our growth.
Finally networking… many have different skills and when we put them together we produce a more efficient, better result. Facebook and twitter, huge networking vehicles, should be used like crazy for this industry because they are free and we are already online. Simple plan: We put together something great that is sharable by the masses, we hit fb share, tweet, and g+ and suddenly we’ve struck gold!
Lastly, I’ll leave you with some networking quotes I dug up:
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough
other people get what they want.” Zig Ziglar
“The currency of real networking is not greed but generosity.”
“My Golden Rule of Networking is simple: Don’t keep score.”
“The richest people in the world look for and build networks,
everyone else looks for work. Marinate on that for a minute.”
Hope I fired up your day, week, month, or life because I’m looking foreward to a better tomorrow with you.
